ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
DEPARTMENT OF EXERCISE SCIENCE AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION
ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY

Assistant Professor with a specialization in biomechanics and a strong
secondary interest in motor control: Teach undergraduate and graduate
courses in biomechanics with the possibility of contributing to instruction
in motor control. Advise undergraduate and graduate students in laboratory
research. Conduct research and scholarly writing in biomechanics and motor
control. Pursue external funding to support research activity. Serve on
various department, college, and university committees and be an active
participant in appropriate professional organizations

Qualifications include: 1) earned doctorate, 2) specialization in
biomechanics with a strong secondary interest in motor control, 3) ability
to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in biomechanics and motor
control, 4) ability to conduct research in biomechanics with a motor
control perspective, and 5) record of scholarly publication. College/
university teaching experience, a record of extramural funding, and
interest in cross- and interdisciplinary research activity are strongly
desired.

The starting date of employment is: August 18, 1997. Applicants must
