Dear subscribers,

A new version of LISTSERV (1.8c) has been installed this week.
The following changes may be of importance:

1. The command LIST GLOBAL can no longer be used to get a list of
all lists. Instead, you can search online at
http://www.lsoft.com/lists/listref.html
LIST GLOBAL now only works with a search string to search for
specific lists.

2. Better handling of delivery errors and better protection
against 'spamming'. NOTE: spamming is no longer a big problem on
Biomch-L since all postings from non-subscribers are screened.

3. Support for 'super-lists', i.e. a hierarchy within a list. I
will see if this could be useful for us.

4. The 'To' field of the header will no longer contain 'Multiple
Recipients of...', but just the name of the list. If you use
automatic mail filters, this may require some changes.
