View Full Version : Stairs for gait lab

05-30-1997, 02:36 AM
We are thinking of constructing some stairs for analysing stair
climbing/ descending in our motion analysis lab. What we have in
mind at the moment is a short flight of steps, incorporating
forceplate mountings, with a slope leading back down to the ground
from the top (for analysing ascent/ descent of slopes, sometimes a
problem for knee patients). The whole thing will be adjustable for
steepness etc. and will need to be easily assembled and dismantled
as our lab is not as spacious as we would ideally like.

Has anyone else made anything like this?

Is it possible to make the forceplate mountings sufficiently rigid in
a temporary structure?

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks very much for your help,

Best wishes,
