Research Associate Position
Center for Human Motor Research
Division of Kinesiology
University of Michigan

A full-time research associate position is available immediately to
conduct NIH-funded studies investigating the effects of visual and
auditory stimulation on upper limb motor performance in the elderly and
patients with Parkinson's Disease. Responsibilities include 3-D data
acquisition and analysis, database management, subject recruitment,
general laboratory maintenance, and assisting in manuscript preparation.

Minimum qualifications: Masters degree in kinesiology (motor control,
biomechanics), neuroscience, bioengineering or related field plus at least
one year of research experience. Must be able to work independently and
possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Desired qualifications: Experience with computer hardware (PC, Unix) and
software (Labview) development. Experience working with patient

Salary based on experience and education.

The Center for Human Motor Research is comprised of motor control,
biomechanics and motor development facilities with an active graduate and
undergraduate research program. Interdisciplinary studies involve several
clinical and engineering departments. The successful candidate would have
the opportunity to conduct independent research depending upon interest
and ability.
