>From The Temple University Writing Center Record, Spring 1992.

For the second year, the Thrombosis Research Center at Temple University
Medical School has contracted with the Writing Center to offer writing
seminars in its course, Essentials of Publishing and Applying for Research
Support. The course, developed and supervised by Dr. Fredda London, focuses
on the pragmatic problems involved in writing successful proposals for research
support to federal agencies, especially NIH.

This year the Center will offer two seminars. The first will deal with
problems of clarity in elaborating complex conceptual material. The second
will focus on the problem of establishing the author's authority in proposals.
