The purpose of this announcement is to solicit applications for a software
contractor to assist with rapid development of an executable to be used on
an IBM PC or compatible computer, operating under Windows 95, that solves
the six degree-of-freedom inverse dynamics problem for general application
to human movement. Of particular importance are the ability to read file
formats from at least one major motion measurement system (e.g.,
Watsmart/Optotrak, Vicon, Peak Modus, Motion Analysis Corp., etc), data
integrity functions (interpolation and smoothing), biomechanical kinematic
and kinetic calculations, graphical and numerical output capabilities, and
a user-friendly graphical user interface. Qualified persons should send a
cover letter explaining their interest in the project, and a curriculum
vitae, to the project administrator listed below. (Electronic submissions
will be accepted initially, but hard copies must also be submitted for the
final selection process.) Special consideration will be given to those
applications clearly showing successful completion of executables of
similar magnitude and scope, while meeting interim and final project
deadlines. Review of applications will begin Dec 10, 1997.
