First Call for Papers

April 2-4 1999
Clemson University, Clemson, SC

Papers are solicited on new developments in theory, concepts, applications
and techniques in all facets of Biomedical Engineering. Attendance and
professional program paper presentation by individuals from the US and the
entire world are encouraged and welcomed.

Abstract Submissions:
November 2, 1998 500 word abstract submission deadline
December 7, 1998 notification of abstract acceptance
January 11, 1999 deadline for submitting complete 4
page manuscript
All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings which
will be available at the meeting.

Author(s) and Affiliation(s) Centered

Submit a 500 word single spaced abstract in English, with one inch margins.
Skip a line between paragraphs. printing should be done with a 12 pt or
greater size font to allow high quality reproduction. Students may submit
original work for either a podium or a poster presentation. Note: Only
papers by students submitted for presentation in the poster format will be
considered for student awards.

Student Awards
Undergraduate and graduate students as well as medical/dental students and
residency candidates are encouraged to submit papers. Several awards will
be given to honor the best papers/presentations in each student category.
Please indicate on your abstract your student status and if you wish your
paper to be considered for a student award. Student awards will be made
based on both a final manuscript and presentation of paper in a poster
