post-doctoral Biomedical Engineer to participate in ongoing research on the
development, use and analysis of Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES)
systems for lower extremity applications (standing and walking) in persons
with spinal cord injury or stroke. This unique opportunity will provide
access to advanced FES technology in a clinical research setting.
Demonstrated expertise in biomechanics, gait and human motion analysis,
mechanisms of postural control and rehabilitation engineering are desired.
Good experimental skills and be proficiency in laboratory instrumentation
and software are desired, as well as an appreciation of the physiological
and functional manifestations of stroke and spinal cord injury.
Post-Doctoral Fellow will conduct research under the supervision of Drs.
P. Hunter Peckham, Patrick E. Crago, Ronald J. Triolo and Robert F. Kirsch
