The College of Education at the University of Kentucky is seeking candidates
for a tenure track position. The teaching and research emphasis for this
position is whole body biomechanics. Anticipated start date is August 1998.
The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Kinesiology and Health Promotion - - Assistant Professor.

Responsibilities:
teach undergraduate and graduate courses in biomechanics
ability to teach in one of the following areas -- research methods, tests
and measurement, athletic training (NATA certification preferred)
conduct research; advise graduate students; secure extramural funding
serve as associate director of the University of Kentucky Biodynamics
Laboratory.
collaborate with faculty from Bioengineering, orthopaedics, sports medicine,
physical therapy

Qualifications: Doctorate with emphasis in biomechanics or related area;
evidence of successful college teaching experience; potential for research
and grant writing; ability to work in interdisciplinary research.

Review of applications begins March 26 and continues until position is
filled. Appointment is contingent upon funding.
