Ontario government & the construction industry are reviewing current
regulation that prohibits use of stilts (ie. drywall stilts) on a
construction project. Drywall stilts strap onto bottom of foot with a
brace running up the side of the leg and strapped at point below knee.

Is there any research that looks at the biomechanics of stilt walking?

Would the forces acting on the knee be similar to those encountered with
below knee prothstetics?

Does anyone have any anecdotal info regarding workplace injuries related
to stilt use?

Any info would be appreciated.
