A LECTURESHIP IN SPORT AND EXERCISE SCIENCE
(HUMAN ANATOMY)

Applicants should have a doctoral qualification with teaching
strengths in gross and functional human anatomy. Research skills in
functional human anatomy and/or an allied area are preferred. A record
of publications in internationally refereed journals is required, and
a demonstrated ability to attract external research grants would be an
advantage.

The Tamaki Campus, established in 1991, is one of three campuses of
the University of Auckland and is located twelve kilometres from the
City Campus. Its Sport and Exercise Science programme leads to
BSc, BSc(Hons) and MSc degrees, and PhD degrees are also
available.

The programme was established in 1994 and currently has nine
permanent academic staff, 140 undergraduate and 18 postgraduate
students. Existing staff have interests and expertise in work and
exercise physiology, sport and health psychology, injury
rehabilitation, sport and industrial biomechanics, gait analysis,
exercise rehabilitation and motor control. The successful applicant
will be expected to develop a research programme, contribute to
undergraduate and graduate papers and further develop co-operative
teaching, professional development and research links with the
Department of Anatomy in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.

Commencing salary will be within the range $NZ45,250 - $NZ54,250 per
annum.
