Dear All,

I am looking for information on Sherman plates which were used routinely for
fracture fixation many years ago. Would anyone know what the composition of
these plates were - were they stainless steel or cast vitallium or what? A
senior surgeon in our department recently removed one these plates which was
implanted more than 35 years ago and I am now looking at the various type of
corrosions that happen on this plate and screw.

Would be grateful for any sort of information or advice.

Regards to all,

Barry P Pereira
