Comments on the synchronisation method proposed by Gideon Ariel.

I presented an oral communication at the World Congress on Medical Physics
and Biomedical Engineering in Nice, France September 14-19, 1997 titled:
- A numerical method to synchronize home video cameras using the D.L.T. method -

This method allows to estimate the time offset between cameras by
minimizing the DLT error calculated for a moving marker.

We used this method in kinematic analysis of horse locomotion. To perform
this synchronization, we use a marker placed on the subject. In this way no
change in the recording protocol is necessary.

The abstract of the communication mentioned above is available in:

Pourcelot, P., Audigie, F., Degueurce, C., Denoix, J.M. and Geiger, D.
(1997) A numerical method to synchronize home video cameras using the
D.L.T. method. Med. & Biol. Eng. & Comput. 35 (Suppl Part 2), 715.

This method has been submitted for publication in Journal of Biomechanics.
