View Full Version : Activity Patterns

Totally Hip

Dear Biomch-Listers,

Can anybody suggest references for studies into human activity patterns?

I have an artificial hip joint wear simulator which subjects prostheses to continuous walking
motion and loading as defined by Paul (1969).

However, I am interested in undertaking a wear test which includes motion & loading for rising
from a chair, ascending/descending stairs, standing and so on. I would therefore like to find
papers which can provide an indication of the amount these various activities account for in a
given time.

I would be most grateful for any help with this query.

Best regards,
