Hello all,
My name is Tim Coffey and I am going into my senior year at the
University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Over the summer I have been
employed by McKee Foods Corporation (Little Debbie) as part of a summer
program for college students. During my stay I asked the question to my
supervisor why trainees were not shown slowed down and explained video of
the motion of a catcher (this is the person who places the snack cakes
into the box off of a conveyor belt). Many trainees come in and leave
after a few days after they become overwhelmed by the speed of the cakes.
I am guessing this is an idea that had never crossed the company's mind.
They have now asked me if I would be willing to do the frame by frame
analysis of a catcher on each of their lines and to help with the
production of the video tape.
I am writing for any suggestions in dealings with Mckee about
equipment, cost, etc.. I would appreciate any help you could give me.

Sincerely,
Tim Coffey
