View Full Version : Measurement machine for bone density

We are looking for a machine which can measure bone mineral density (BMD).
We know that dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) can do, but it is big
and very expensive. What we want is a smaller one for measuring the density
of a small piece of bone, such as a vertebra. I wonder if there is a
"smaller" DEXA, which is cheaper and for a small piece of bone. It is
appreciated if anybody can give me some information and suggestion.

Best regards
