Position Announcement

POST DOCTORAL TRAINING AND RESEARCH IN BIOMECHANICS

The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and
Skin Diseases (NIAMS), National Institutes of Health, Public
Health Service, is sponsoring a two-year post graduate training
and research position in the application of Biomechanics to
normal and pathological human movement. Work will be in the
Biomechanics Laboratory, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine,
Clinical Center, National Institutes of Health. This laboratory
is equipped with a passive infra-red, three-dimensional motion
analysis system, two moveable strain gauge force plates, EMG,
and state-of-the-art software for six degree-of-freedom kinematic
and kinetic analyses of segmental or full body movements.
Candidates must have *post doctoral* status in Biomechanics or
related field, and should have a background in Engineering or
the Physical Sciences. Prior medically oriented research experience
is desirable, but not mandatory. Starting date, Fall 1992.
Salary range is customarily $25,000 to $28,000 per annum, depending
