TISSUE ENGINEERING FACULTY POSITION IN THE
PROGRAM IN BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING
State University of New York @ Stony Brook

The Program in Biomedical Engineering (PIBE) invites applications for a
tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. We seek
an outstanding individual with a proven record in applying molecular and
cellular
biology to the study of tissue repair mechanisms and cell/tissue
engineering.
Preference will be given to those with externally funded independent
research
programs with an emphasis on molecular/cell/tissue mechanisms of wound
repair.
The successful candidate is expected to maintain a competitive, extramurally
funded research program, to excel in teaching at both graduate and
undergraduate levels, and to collaborate with Faculty in the School of
Medicine
and College of Engineering and Applied Science. Candidates should hold a
Ph.D.
or equivalent in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related discipline, and
at
least three years of postdoctoral research experience. Applications from
women
and minority candidates are encouraged.

Applications must include a detailed resume which includes a list of
publications, a statement of research and teaching interests, and names of
three references.
