MEMORANDUM
Conference Change of Date
18th Southern Biomedical Engineering Conference and the
2nd InternationalConference on Ethical Issues in Biomedical Engineering

Please note that several investigators contacted us and pointed out
that it would be difficult for them to attend the above referenced
conference, as April 2, 1999 is Good Friday and April 4, 1999 is Easter
Sunday. Therefore, after much discussion, we have arranged to change the
dates of the conference from April 2-4, 1999 to May 20-23, 1999. This will
also allow us to extend the deadline for submission of abstracts to
December 18, 1998. A new Call for Papers is enclosed for your reference.

I understand that this change of dates may pose a problem for some
authors who may have other conflicts on the new meeting dates. However, as
Easter is traditionally a very popular time for family get togethers, we
feel that more people can participate at the conference with the new change
of dates. I sincerely apologize if this change may produce serious
inconvenience to any one.

I am looking forward to your participation at the conference.

Sincerely,
Subrata Saha, Ph.D., Conference Chair
Director, Bioengineering Alliance of SC
Professor, Department of Bioengineering
