Job Opening (Post-Doctoral Position) at the
Department of Orthopaedic Surgery
Laboratory for Experimental Orthopaedic Research

The Orthopaedic Research Lab has an opening for a
post-doctoral position in the area of cell biomechanics.
The starting date is January 1999. The main research
interest concentrates on bone tumour cells. Possible
projects are dealing with the physiological effects
of bisphosphonates and/or taxol on bone tumour cells
and their relevance in the therapy of bone diseases.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in biology, biochemistry
or a related field and excellent knowledge of cell
culture methods and biological signal analysis. The
candidate is expected to be an enthusiastic member of
our multi-disciplinary team and to collaborate in a
number of ongoing projects at our laboratory. Salary
is in accordance with the German federal civil service
regulations.
