The Laboratory for Soft Tissue Research is seeking a Ph.D.
bioengineer/engineer with interest in soft tissue biomechanics and tissue
engineering at the cell and tissue levels. The position is a 1+ year
post-doctoral fellowship to study mechanochemical transduction and cell
signaling mechanisms in cartilage. The research will involve all areas of
biomedical research, including cell biology, biochemistry, biomechanics and
molecular biology. While desirable, the candidate does not have to have
experience in these areas. The laboratory is a multidisciplinary research
environment, such that the post-doctoral candidate will work closely with
physicians, scientists, bioengineers and undergraduate and graduate

The laboratory's strategic plan for the 21st Century is to broaden it's
expertise in cell and tissue biology and bioengineering related to
mechanisms governing the injury and repair of ligaments, meniscus and
cartilage. This position is directed towards fulfilling this gaol.
