We are trying to set up an immersive, virtual-reality environment in which
the user can see realistic arm simulations move as he/she moves his/her own
arms. Arm segment positions and orientations (as well as head position and
orientation) are tracked in real time. Most of this system is now in place,
however, we have been having trouble building a realistic, scalable arm
model. The problem is simulating the way the wrist and elbow joints look as
their angle changes. Does anyone have or know of models that can be used
for this purpose? We are running this simulation on a SGI Onyx 2 with four
CPU and four graphics pipes so we can deal with models having high polygon

Thank you,

Ted Wright
