Many sports biomechanics devotees have informed me that they would
like to come to ISBS99 in Perth but cannot afford the airfares. Here
is some GOOD NEWS. In response to an invitation to companies to
support ISBS99 we now have a main sponsor - ARIEL DYNAMICS Inc.

As part of the sponsorship arrangement ARIEL DYNAMICS is giving a
compact disc with the full APAS system, valued at over $5000.00 US to
every delegate at ISBS99. This will more than compensate for the
cost of airfares. As a result of the sponsorship by ARIEL DYNAMICS we
are also able to offer reduced registration fees for students.

This is a most generous offer reflecting the intense interest of ARIEL
DYNAMICS founder, Gideon Ariel, in achieving the mandate of the ISBS -
to disseminate scientific information to sports science practitioners
including coaches and sports participants.

Gideon is making this offer exclusively to attendees at ISBS99. The
offer is in recognition of the attempts of the ISBS to establish a
scientific program of high quality through a thorough peer review
process, and to disseminate information to coaches and sports people
through an 'applied' program.

When ARIEL DYNAMIC'S offer is considered together with the other
advantages of attending ISBS99 then this is a symposium that should
not be missed by anyone interested in sports biomechanics:

* $5000.00 USD worth of free software for each delegate

* Refereed scientific papers - 80 submitted to date

* World experts presenting in an applied program - tennis, swimming,
gymnastics/acrobatics, fundamental skills. Optional.

* Very reasonable registration $500.00 AUD (members) $550.00 AUD
(non-members- includes joining fee) This includes morning and
afternoon tea and lunch, scientific proceedings, satchel and a great
social program. $300.00 AUD for accompanying persons.

* $150.00 AUD off the registration price for STUDENTS. With the
sponsorship from Ariel Dynamics we can now offer a discounted
registration fee for students.

* Rediculous accommodation rates - 4 and a half star accommodation at
$27.00 AUS per night twin share - rooms include kitchen and ensuite.

* Optional workshop on data smoothing

If you are interested in sport biomechanics you should be at ISBS at
Hillarys Resort in Perth from June 30 to July 6, 1999.
