Research Engineer

The Musculoskeletal Research Center (MSRC) of the Department of Orthopaedic
Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh is currently seeking applicants for
two research engineers specializing in orthopaedic biomechanics research.
Applicants for the first position should be experienced in soft tissue
biomechanics research and experimentation. The second opening involves the
use of computer models for the visualization of musculoskeletal anatomy and
kinematics based on experimental data.

A Master of Science degree, or a Bachelor of Science degree with 1-2 years
of laboratory experience in bioengineering, mechanical engineering,
computer engineering or a related discipline, is required. Previous
experience with experimental animals, image processing, and statistical
analysis are also helpful. Responsibilities include assisting as well as
developing research projects with faculty, graduate students, residents and
medical research fellows.
