Dear colleagues,
I’m interested in surgery preparation problems in oral implantology. Now
I’m looking for data/articles on:

- cutting resistance of bone tissue during drilling
- thermal behaviour of bone tissue during drilling
- models of heat conduction in bone tissue.

[I could find only few articles in litterature. Some of them are:

“The physics of heat generation during reaming of the medullarity
cavity”
Frank Baumgart, Gregor Kohler and Peter E. Ochsner
Injury - Vol. 29, Suppl. No. 2, pp S-B11-S-B25
1998

“Influence of Different Parameters on bone heating and drilling time in
implantology”
Reingewirtz Y, Szmukler.Moncler S, Senger B.
Clinical Oral Implants Research 8: 189-197;
1997

“Temperature changes in bovine mandibular bone during implant site
preparation: an assessment using infra-red thermography”
I.C. Benington, P.A. Biagioni, P.J. Crossey, D.L. Hussey, S.Sheridan and
P.J. Lamey
Journal of Dentistry Vol. 24, No 4, pp 263-267
1996

“The effect of Speed, Pressure, and Time on Bone Temperature During the
Drilling of Implant Sites”
David L. Brisman
The International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants - 11: 35-37

1996

“Measurements of Shaft Speed While Drilling Trough Bone”
Mustafa B. Abouzgia, and David F. James

“Increase of temperature during osteotomy
In vitro and in vivo investigations”
R. Wächter, P.Stoll
Int J Oral Maxillofac. Surg. 20:245-249
1991]

I will post a summary of responses.
Thank you
