Dear Madam or Sir

Having finished five semesters of studies in Medical Engineering at
the Technical University Ulm, Germany, I wish to supplement my
studies with a internship at a company in a foreign country (English
as official language).

Since my professional interest is bio-mechanic, I would prefer to work
in that particular field. I took additionally bio-mechanic lectures at
the Institute for Surgery of Accident-Injuries in Ulm, Germany. I have
knowledge of common computer software (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel,
Corel Draw, CAD (Euklid)) and computer hardware. Besides, I have
finished a thorough apprenticeship as an aircraft mechanic in the
German Airforce, which I finished as the best of the year.

In order to fulfill the requirements for my degree, the internship
should last 24 weeks, beginning September 1. I am, however, flexible
as to the exact date of the internship. I will not receive any grants
or other financial support from the university. Therefore, any
compensation for my work at your company would help to cover my
basic living expenses. I would also appreciate any assistance you can
offer in finding inexpensive accommodation.

If your company is located within the USA, then I will be sponsored
by the Internship USA Program of the Council on International
Educational Exchange based in New York. Through this program I will
be provided with a J-1 cultural exchange visa, which entitles me to
work legally in the U.S. and fulfill my internship requirements
there.

Thank you for your consideration. I am looking forward to your reply.

Sincerely,

Boris A. Flach
