Dear Biomch-l members -

Last month, there was a discussion of the 'best' way to normalize EMG. I read
through the summary of the discussion posted by Peter Mills, but I wondered
about a different method, and would like feedback from the group:

We wish to look at Gastroc activity during a stretching task across subjects.
We are considering using a standard task (namely a heel rise) to normalize.

Comments? Has anyone used a task-based normalization before? I seem to
remember some discussion of this during last month's 'conversation', but it's
not in the summary.

Thanks in advance - I will post a summary.

Marc
