Applications are invited for a post-doctoral fellowship position within
the Bone and Joint Center Research Laboratories at Henry Ford Hospital.
The laboratories study bone and joint structure, function, injury and
disease using a multidisciplinary approach with mechanical engineering,
biochemistry and cell/molecular biology components and strong ties to a
large clinical orthopaedic department. Facilities include a well
equipped motion analysis laboratory with complete instrumentation for
in-vivo 3D motion measurement, anchored by a unique high-speed
stereo-radiographic imaging system for direct measurement of bone and
joint motion. Potential research areas include the study of joint and
ligament function, injury and repair, using a combination of
experimental and theoretical techniques.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering
or a related field. Thorough knowledge of 3D dynamic musculoskeletal
modeling/simulation techniques is required. Experience with motion
measurement and/or clinical orthopaedic research are also desirable.

Applicants should provide a cover letter (outlining your research
interests), a resume or curriculum vitae, and names and addresses of
three references. Information can be sent via return e-mail
(attachments OK), by FAX (313-916-8812) or postal mail to:
