View Full Version : the ISB Mesh repository web site

10-26-1999, 05:41 AM
On April 98 we launched the ISB Finite Element Mesh Repository.

During that month 35 users registered with the on-line form. After that,
the rate slowed down to 5-10 user per month but in October the number
raised again. So maybe there is an increased interest for this service.

The site currently made available the following models:

1.The "Standardized Femur" solid model
2.Mapped mesh of the proximal part of the "Standardized Femur"
3.Tetra automatic mesh of the "Standardized Femur"
4.Mapped mesh of a lumbar spine segment
5.Three dimensional mapped mesh of a human mandible
6.A solid model of the "3rd generation composite" femur

for more info please check here:

Please note that the Standardized Femur program has been recently merged
into the ISB Mesh repository; so now, the SF is just another submission in
the Mesh Repository. We recently released version 2.1 of the SF model, and
most of importing problems should be solved. It was successfully imported
in Ansys, Patran, Marc, Unigraphics.

Our Back to the Net page titles - WE HAVE AN ENORMOUS DEBT WITH THE GLOBAL
COMMUNITY USUALLY KNOWN AS "INTERNET" - I hope most of you agree; we look
forward to publish your models on the ISB Mesh Repository.

Ciao from Bologna
