Bioengineering The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the
University of Louisville invites applications for a tenure-track
bioengineering faculty position beginning summer or fall semester 2000.
Applicants should have an earned doctorate in mechanical engineering,
biomedical engineering, or a related field, with research interests in
areas related to biomechanical engineering such as biofluids, BioMEMS,
cellular mechanics, hard and soft tissue mechanics, motion mechanics,
rehabilitation engineering, or tissue engineering. The successful
candidate should have credentials that enable them to develop an
externally funded program of independent and collaborative research
within the context of the University's comprehensive effort in
medical/health science research. They will be expected to teach
undergraduate and graduate level courses in the Mechanical Engineering
Department.

This positions is nominally entry-level, but starting academic rank and
salary will be based upon qualifying experience. The position includes
