Physical Therapy Program
Instructor or Assistant Professor


The Hunter College Physical Therapy Program seeking a dynamic individual
for an annual 9-month faculty appointment to a tenure track position
beginning September, 2000. This is an additional position to support our
newly developed Master's in Physical Therapy Program, which will be
accepting its first class beginning September 2000. Our facility has
recently undergone major physical renovations and modernization of
teaching/research facilities and received re-accreditation.

Primary responsibilities include: both teaching in areas of expertise and
assisting the Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education. The position will
afford the opportunity to conduct clinical research, to participate in a
dynamic, expanded curriculum, and to foster enrollment of under-represented
groups in the PT profession.

Qualifications include: An Advanced Master's degree required, a completed
Clinical Specialist Certification in the area of Cardiopulmonary or
Pediatrics preferred for appointment at the Instructor rank. Ph.D.
required for appointment at the Assistant Professor rank. All positions
require graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Program, three years
of clinical experience. Teaching experience is preferred.

Rank and salary commensurate with education and experience.
