Research Studentship in Biomechanics.

An EPSRC sponsored PhD studentship is available for three years starting Oct. 2000. This position is open primarily to British citizens who should have, or be expecting to gain, an upper second or first class degree in engineering or a related discipline. The studentship will cover fees and student bursary.

The Biomechanics Section, which you would be a member of, is involved with a variety of multidisciplinary projects which combine engineering techniques to solve medical problems. This project has a particular emphasis on biomechanics of the shoulder and your work would include finite element analyses related to wear of orthopaedic implants.
