Position Announcement
Human Physiology

Rank:
Visiting Instructor, non-tenure track, .75 FTE. Appointment begins September 16, 2000.


Qualifications and Responsibilities:
This position fills important existing undergraduate and graduate instructional needs in human physiology, and contributes to the broader focuses of the department which includes preventive and rehabilitative medicine.

Earned doctoral degree preferred. The appointee will be expected to have sufficient expertise to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in human physiology. Applicants should have experience in the teaching of human physiology at the university level or equivalent preparation. The position requires teaching courses in human physiology and related areas, advising of undergraduate and graduate students, and participating in departmental committees and meetings.


General Information:
The Department of Exercise and Movement Science (EMS) offers a cross-disciplinary undergraduate degree which emphasizes the development of students interested in pursuing medicine and health science careers. The degree program consists of courses in exercise science with supporting coursework in the biological, physical, and social sciences. Graduates in EMS seek positions in medicine, physical therapy, nursing, dentistry and other health sciences, and research/teaching at the university level.


Salary:
$26,000
