In August, I requested information on a bone substitute called MACROLON
but I neglected to mention that it was a mechanical substitute for
testing purposes, not an implantable material.

I did get one response as follows:

Dear Kenneth,

With reference to your enquiry about MACROLON: To the
best of our knowledge this material is not used as a
bone substitute but rather as (believe it or not)
armour plating. The British army use it to protect
their vehicles against sniper bullets etc.
Perhaps you should ask your Department of Defence etc.
if they use it.

Best wishes
Joe Murphy

I am sorry I haven't cleaned up the message much but I am still
learning the usage of the text editor.

I should have passed on this information sooner but was hoping to have
some confirmation about whether the material referenced by Joe Murphy
was the material of interest.

If I find out more, I will post it.
