View Full Version : Directions to Midwest Grad Students Symposium

03-27-2000, 07:48 AM
The 2000 Midwest Graduate Students' Biomechanics Symposium will be held
this coming Friday and Saturday at Illinois State University in Normal. For
those of you driving, Normal is located at the intersection of Interstates
55, 74 and 39. The best way to get to the university is to follow the
signs, which will tell you to get off of I55 at Business 51, or Main street
South, and travel south to the campus.

I have included a web site with an on-line map of the campus:

Friday's opening lecture by Dr. Paul Devita will be held in Horton
Fieldhouse, Room 220 (Building 34 on the above map). From Main Street
South, turn right (to the west) on College Avenue, and then turn north
after the Arena. Park north of the fieldhouse, and come in the doors and
find your way upstairs to Room 220. The lecture starts at 7:00, we will
have snacks available after 6:30.

The Symposium on Saturday will be held in Room 138 of Schroeder Hall
(Building 68 on the above map). Parking is available in the Visitor Parking
Lot (#83 on the above map) that is located north of the library. To get to
the parking when travelling south on Main Street, turn left on Willow (at
the lights near the water tower), and proceed east to Normal Avenue. Turn
right, and go south to enter the parking lot. Then walk around (or through)
the Student Center to go to Schroeder Hall.

I look forward to seeing you all here for what promises to be an exciting
Symposium. Thanks again to the American Society of Biomechanics for funding
the Symposium this year.

Contact me if you have any questions.

Regards, Steve
