that the 5th Congress of the European College of Sport Science will organise
a Special Symposium on Swimming within the ECSS2000 next summer in
Jyvaskyla, Finland July 19-23, 2000. The deadline for abstract submission is
March 1, 2000. Please visit the Conference home page at

I would also like to take the opportunity to inform you that the Proceedings
of the 8th International Symposium on Biomechanics and Medicine in Swimming
has been published with 95 reviewed scientific articles, 552 pages and a
