My name is Lisa Steinhoff and I am currently a senior studying Biomedical
Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri (USA).
I am currently working on a senior design project with two of my
colleagues to develop a foot-surface load detector and processor with
feedback systems that can provide feedback for weight-bearing and balance
training for patients with various orthopedic and neurological
disabilities such as mal-union of fractures, knee joint ACL deficiency,
cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, and cerebral vascular accident.
We are just starting the concept stage and researching technologies that
have already been developed that could be used for such a application.
I am writing you to see if you might have any information you feel would
be useful to us in this preliminary search as well as any guidance
regarding the nature of our project.
