Foot and Ankle Research Retreat
STATIC AND DYNAMIC
CLASSIFICATION OF THE FOOT
May 19-21, 2000
Annapolis, MD
This is the first retreat sponsored jointly by the Foot & Ankle Special
Interest Group and the Orthopaedic Section, APTA. The objective of this
retreat is to review/discuss methods of static and dynamic foot
classification through the presentation of research findings with the
mission of developing a consensus regarding future research directions.
FORMAT
The format will incorporate one hour presentations by the keynote
speakers with small group discussions to follow. In addition, there will
be a number of 15 minute podium presentations of research relating
to the classification of the foot with time allotted for the discussion of
these research findings. These presentations will be given by
scientists from a variety of professions and numerous countries.
SCHEDULE:
Friday, May 19: 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM (dinner on your own)
Saturday, May 20: 8:30 AM - 5:00 FM (lunch provided)
Sunday, May 21: 11:00 - 2:30 Champagne Sail and Brunch
(limited to first 25 registrants)
May is a wonderful time of year for sailing in Annapolis. Board the
Schooner Liberte for a 2 hour Champagne sail on the Chesapeake Bay. Upon
return, enjoy a full brunch at the Chart House on the water. As the
retreat ends, this will provide a wonderful opportunity for continued
discussions or just relaxation before leaving for respective points of
origin. (NOTE: Prepayment is required with the retreat registration. In
the case of inclimate weather, the sail will be cancelled and refunds
provided)
