  • Motion Analysis Tutorial and Users Group Meetings

Motion Analysis Corporation will be hosting its annual Clinical Gait Users
meeting and Tutorial session. This year's setting will be in conjuction with
the North American Gait & Clinical Movement Analysis Society (GCMAS) meeting
at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN (April 12th-15th, 2000). We are inviting
all interested Motion Analysis users and motion capture gait clinicians to the
meeting and session. Please note priority seating will be provided to the
Motion Analysis user for these sessions. It will be our policy to expand the
room versus excluding an interested clinician.

    The Tutorial Training Session
Wednesday, April 12th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Radisson Hotel in
    Rochester, MN

The Tutorial Session will focus on the following topics that will enable the
user/clinician to expand their system to the next level of 3D data processing:

    1) EVa data collection and EVa Real-Time display overview and incorporating
the data into Mocap Solver: Mocap Solver is incorporated into the EVa system
and uses a hierarchical skeleton which is composed of parent and child segment
to drive a biomechanics model. This model allows the child segments to follow
their parent root and have the translation of the skeleton applied once to the
root segment, allowing for 6 degrees of freedom (3 rotations and 3
translations). Mocap Solver is beneficial in driving your data into animation
models, (SIMM) and also viewing within the EVa Viewer as a wire frame vs
    stick figure activity.

    2) SIMM (Simulated Interactive Musculo-skeletal Modeling) is completely
integrated with EVa and EVa Real-time. You will take the Eva data set using
the modified Helen Hayes gait marker set into SIMM, and develop a Visual
    qualitative animated model.

    3) KinTrak which is our 3D Biomechanics software program will be the final
session on the Tutorial. KinTrak will enable you to expand and diversify your
lab to measure and generate kinematics and kinetics for 3D foot, back, head
and neck, and/or full body movements. Whether for Golf or tissue analysis,
Kintrak non-script programming features provide the tools to generate your
    data.

    Continental breakfast will be served.
