  • range of motion in sheep shoulder

    Dear Biomechanists,

I am planning to do some testing on rotator cuff repairs using sheep shoulders.
What we would like to know is the typical range of motion of the
scapolo-humeral articulation in sheep. Does anybody know (1) the maximum
angles attainable; (2) the angles between the humerus and scapula when the
sheep is standing on all fours; (3) for which position of the
scapolo-humeral articulation during cyclical motions, such as walking,
results in the greatest activity of the infraspinatus muscle?

I have searched PubMed and other literature on the anatomy of mammals, but
    I have had no luck.

I will be glad to list a survey of the responses.

    Thanks for your efforts.
    Stephan Schrader
