related discipline and experience as a biomechanics technician or scientific
officer and in a research environment. Applicants with a higher degree may be
preferred. You will need excellent IT competency; programming and interfacing
skills, the ability to calibrate, use and develop biomechanics and psychology
equipment and familiarity with all the main types of such equipment. The post
involves driving. You should have good organisational and communication
skills, work methodically under pressure and on your own initiative and have
    leadership skills.

Sport. The Sports Science Research Institute represents an investment of about
#5 million by the University and is housed in Collegiate Hall, a stunning grade
II listed building on the Collegiate Crescent Campus. Sheffield will house one
of the largest of Sport England's National Network Centres for elite sport
performers; athletics, table tennis, judo, and netball will all have a strong
focus there and ice skating is likely to be based at the City's new Ice
Stadium. Sheffield is one of the eight largest English cities, situated
adjacent to the beautiful Peak District National Park, which dominates (and
overflows into) the Western side of the city. The person appointed will have
the opportunity to pursue their own research and the possibilities exist to
