Biomedical Engineer Internship
The University of Georgia

The Biomechanics Laboratory within the Soft Tissue Center at The University
of Georgia is seeking undergraduates interested in biomedical engineering
research. The person in this intern position will apply skills in
biomechanics and continuum mechanics to study tissue injury and repair.
Examples of the research projects that the intern will be responsible for
are listed below. Selection of the project will depend on the skills and
interest of the intern. Preferences will be given to junior level
engineering students who show an interest in research.

Project examples
the fatigue life of avian tendon and other soft tissues
the association between growth factors, wound repair and biomechanics in
avian tendon
changes in structural integrity of tendon and bone due to activity and
environment
