DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL THERAPY AND HUMAN MOVEMENT SCIENCES
NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY MEDICAL SCHOOL
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position to study human movement
and balance control with emphasis on the neuromechanical bases of falls in
older adults. The postdoctoral fellow will participate in developing control
models of postural balance, as well as innovative approaches for studying

laboratory participates in cooperative research with the University’s Division
of Geriatric Medicine, the Buehler Center on Aging, the Rehabilitation
Institute of Chicago, the Department of Bioengineering, and the Institute for
Neuroscience.
Applicants should have a recent Ph. D. with a background in motor control,
computational neuroscience, engineering, or biomechanics. Experience in working
