Research Position Available - Experimental Orthopaedic Biomechanics

The VA Palo Alto Rehabilitation Research & Development Center is
seeking candidates with a PhD degree for a research position in
experimental orthopaedic biomechanics. Candidates should have
hands-on skills, including experimental design and testing and an
understanding of electromechanical instrumentation and data
acquisition. This person is expected to become an independent
investigator in a research area related to osteoporosis or
osteoarthritis and to collaborate with other VA and Stanford PhD and
MD researchers. Current areas of research involve bone, soft tissue
and cartilage mechanobiology, bone loss after spinal cord injury,
tissue differentiation, and tissue regeneration.

The position is funded through the Department of Veterans Affairs at
the GS11, GS12 or GS13 level ($45-64K per year) depending on
experience. Candidates must be US citizens. Qualified candidates
