Instructor/Assistant Professor

Creighton University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution invites applications
for a clinical/faculty position at the Instructor or Assistant Professor
level in the Department of Physical Therapy.
A full-time, 12-month position is available for quality candidates with
expertise in clinical practice and the desire to expand into academic
teaching and research. Clinical and academic opportunities span orthopedic,
neurologic and cardiopulmonary areas. Mentorship is available from an
existing faculty for developing teaching expertise in the area of clinical
specialization. Candidates must possess at least 3 years of relevant
clinical experience, excellent communication skills, a desire to contribute
to the advancement of the profession, and eligibility for PT licensure in
the state of Nebraska. DPT acceptable, clinical specialist preferred.
The Creighton Department of Physical Therapy was the first to offer the
entry-level doctorate (DPT) for physical therapists and has offered a
post-professional Transitional DPT since 1999. The progressive, integrated
curriculum supports excellence in teaching, scholarship and clinical
practice. The successful applicant will be expected to engage in clinical
practice, teach in his/her area of expertise, participate in/develop a
research program, serve on committees and take part in professional
organizations. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience.
