Lets suppose you own four magnetic sensors but you need seven for just one
particular experiment. Rather than buying the extra 3 elements, wouldn't it
seem sensible to try to borrow them for a limited time period from someone
who happens to possess this material. The deal, of course, involves you
being ready to reciprocate the loan. If you answered 'yes' to this
hypothetical question, then please read on.
This is exactly our case. We are wondering if someone (ideally not too far
from our city, Marseille) would be able and willing to lend us three (or
even four !) elements of a Flock of Bird system for an experiment we
(Thelma Coyle, Gilles Dietrich, and Yves Guiard) are currently preparing on
the effects of bilateral upper arm movements on body balance. Ideally,we
would like to run this experiment during the period from mid April to mid
May 2000, but the timing can altered to suit material availability. The
extra elements we are looking for must not be morethan 4 years old, for
hardware compatibility reasons. We currently possess a four-element Flock
of Birds from Ascension Technology, that is, four electronic units with
their receivers (one purchased in 1996, the three others in 1999), a
normal-range transmitter (purchased in 1996) and an extended range
transmitter (purchased in 1999). Our software runs on LabView for PC. We
will cover any shipping costs involved.
If you could help us then please contact us as soon as possible.
Many thanks ..... TC.
