NEW RESEARCH NETWORK IN
BIOENGINEERING AND BIOPHYSICS
IN DENTAL AND ORAL HEALTH
************************************************** ***************
A new website has been launched to focus on research and
development in bioengineering, biophysics, biomaterials, computer
modelling etc., related to dental and oral health. The site, which
was set up six months ago in the UK, now invites members from
through the international community. Through developing the
website it is envisaged that researchers interested in dental
materials and restoratives, dental bridges, prostheses, implants,
dental mechanics, biomaterials, biochemistry and computer
modelling techniques will be provided with the latest information,
emerging technologies and international contacts across the broad
field of dental research.
The main objectives of the NETWORK are as follows:
*** To form a NETWORK of bioengineers, biomaterials engineers,
clinicians, computer scientists and medical device manufacturers
interested in dental research.
*** Provide a forum to encourage collaborative research in
emerging technologies that are novel and innovative.
*** Organise research/industrial workshops to identify research
needs and emerging technologies.
*** Promote and disseminate information between academics and
industry at an international level.
*** Provide a bulletin board to focus on NEWS in dental and
related research.
We wish to invite all those interested in research in this area to join
this new initiative by entering the website and simply clicking
‘MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION FORM’ and completing the
information requested. Membership is free of charge.

research website. Also if you can offer any advice/assistance or
provide ideas that you believe would be useful to the success of the
site please email directly to { HYPERLINK "mailto:xiangz@cardiff.ac.uk" }xiangz@cardiff.ac.uk
