Thank you to everyone who responded or was interested in my original posting
which concerned specific information regarding salaries in gait labs.
Unfortunately, almost all of the responses that I received were from people
who were interested in getting the same information that I am looking for.
One respondent estimated that the salary (different from lab to lab)
generally is between $30,000 and $40,000 and can depend more on the
responsibilities than education level and experience.
Someone also suggested that an anonymous survey be conducted on a website
(i.e., GCMA) based on title, experence, education, duties, location, etc.
Such a database would give employers and prospective candidates a fairly
good idea on what is the going rate for employees in a gait lab. Based on
the number of people interested in this information, this sounds like an
excellent idea, and perhaps the President of the Gait and Clinical Movement
Analysis Society could undertake this venture.
Thanks for your interest.
Sincerely,
Scott Colby
