This two day symposium will present the most current and advanced
approaches to the evaluation and treatment of articular cartilage injuries.
The meeting will include both didactic sessions and cadaver laboratory
demonstrations regarding the clinical diagnosis, treatment and outcomes of
articular cartilage injuries.
Meeting contents include clinical symposia and cadaveric laboratory
demonstrations of articular cartilage repair, including:
1) Dr. Allan Gross, MD - Allografting articular cartilage lesions.
2) Dr. Christoph Saager, MD - A soft delivery system for osteochondral
transplantation.
3) Dr. Vladimir Bobic, MD and Dr. Laszlo Hangody, MD - Osteochondral
autograft transfer (OATES) and mosaicplasty.
4) Dr. Lars Peterson, MD - autologous chondrocyte transplantation.
5) Dr. Richard Steadman, MD - The microfracture treatment for chondral
defects.
Other lectures include:
6) Dr. Charles Ho, MD, PHD - MRI techniques for visualization and diagnosis
of articular cartilage lesions.
7) Dr. Richard Hawkins, MD - Articular cartilage injuries of the shoulder.
