Greetings.
I am currently researching the measures for arm length and its role
in reaching and grasping work skills while driving a bus. Kroemer.
K.H.E. and E.Grandjean. Fitting the Task To The Human. Taylor
and Francis. 1997.p 66-67. presents 5th percentile measures for
North Americans but does not give specifics on how the measures
are performed. It indicates to the tip of the thumb but where is the
measure taken at the shoulder joint? I have taken measures using
the edge of the alecranon and other sights however they all appear
to be 3-4 cm less than the lowest reported lengths for males and
females. Can anyone clarify which anatomical sites are used??
Thankyou, I would appreciate any help provided.
Regards
